RNA-Seq Analytics

RNA contains copies of the DNA information required to build the proteins that a cell requires. RNA-seq collects the whole transcriptome of a tissue sample, describing which proteins the cells are building to reveal approximate levels of protein expression in the tissue. RNA-seq is extremely popular among researchers studying gene regulation in a wide variety of biological systems. Our clients are interested in differential gene expression based on either RNA sequencing analysis or gene expression microarray data, followed by a pathway analysis.

Single Cell RNA-Seq

Single Cell RNA-Seq is a powerful new NGS tool in research, that shows great promise for precision biotechnology products, pharmaceutical development and medical applications. The body contains many cell types, each with a unique mixture of proteins — reflected in the RNA — to match the cell’s function. Traditional bulk tissue RNA-seq cannot pinpoint specific subpopulations of cells where RNA expression alterations occur, while single cell RNA-seq offers this capability. In complex tissues, disorder in one cell subpopulation can create disease that may not be visible in traditional bulk-tissue RNA-seq; single cell RNA-seq can reveal the disordered subpopulation.
